Correct Me If I'm Wrong...

The NHL game schedule this year seems very, very weird. At least twice, there have been days with no games scheduled and at least twice ALL of the teams have played on the same day. One day there are 13 games scheduled and the next only one. I don't remember this inconsistency in years past. Does this have to do with the Olympics, or what? You would think there could be a better way of scheduling. I would be quite pissed if I paid for Center Ice.
