Prepping For The Mule

The Wings traded Leino to Philadelphia today in anticipation of Franzen coming back into the lineup. This really wasn't surprising, but I am a bit disappointed. I wanted Leino to work out so much, but it just didn't happen. No one seems to have an answer to what the problem was, but hopefully he'll find his game and have success elsewhere.

Only about four hours till the game with LA and I'm not feeling really great about it. But that isn't unusual--I'm a pessimist from WAY back.

Computer woes continue to plague me, so it will probably be a couple of days, again, before I'm back to regular postings.

And Everything Stays The Same

Well, NOT so much everything being the same with the Wings. That was a very nice game last night--something we haven't seen enough of this year. It looked more like 'Red Wing hockey' than we've seen at any time this year. Now, if they can only bring it tonight against the Ducks. I'm not optimistic--SURPRISE!

The thing that is 'same old, same old' is my computer troubles. The replacement tower came in today--a full 1-2 weeks earlier than Dell told me would happen. While I'm happy to get the tower, this just means my time will not be my own, again, until I get it set up properly. So, I shall probably be MIA--again.

And For The Win...

Yup, they won. It is a great feeling to say that. However, with the penalty to Rafalski in the last minute, I screamed to The Husband, "Well, they found a way to lose again!" And I was very surprised that they DIDN'T lose. How sad that this game--other than the fact that they won--was another example of this year's 'Red Wing hockey.' I'm really getting tired of thinking that they can't WIN a game, rather than they can't LOSE a game. I'm hoping that the Olympic break WILL give the non-Olympians a time to relax and reflect. There definitely are more than one or two players that need to get their minds back to the business of playing good Red Wing hockey.

I really don't think I want to watch the game on Sunday.

UGH!!!

As if my world couldn't get any crappier! Yesterday, my new computer decided it is a complete lemon and I need Dell to send me a replacement and then the Wings put on yet another crapfest. Yeah, 2010 is looking to be just a WONDERFUL year. (And just WHERE is that damn sarcasm font?!) I certainly don't look forward to games anymore. And really, why should I? It doesn't seem as if this team cares at all, so why should the fans? And now I will repeat my mantra: WHY can't this season be over, already?

Why Not

It is getting to the point where I am surprised when the Wings win. Tonight's game certainly wasn't a surprise. Blowing a lead like they did wasn't a surprise. We've seen this same shit game after game after game. It will be very interesting to see just exactly who will still be with this team after this season--you have to wonder if they are getting too comfortable and just don't care anymore. I would love to know what is going on in Holland's head these days. Hell, HE might just decide he's had enough at the end of this season. Don't know if I actually would blame him if he left.
